NIBIN Win: A December 2024 National Integrated Ballistic Information Network lead pointed investigators toward a suspect tied to an August shooting and about 73 armed robberies across Chicago in 2023-2024. ATF agents investigated the cases and made four arrests for Hobbs Act robbery and for using a gun in the furtherance of a crime. Three of the four defendants were convicted in July, facing mandatory minimum sentences of up to 93 years. The fourth defendant is awaiting trial. Correlations were completed by the NNCTC.
