A U.S. family of four is missing after their small plane vanished over the ocean near the Bahamas while returning home to Opa-locka, Florida, from a Labor Day weekend trip to Great Harbour Cay. Pilot Mario Lamar, 80, his wife Lili, 79, and their grandchildren Sofia Sosa, 28, and Christian Sosa, 22, were on board when contact was lost about 13 miles west of Andros Island. The U.S. Coast Guard has joined the search, but bad weather initially forced crews to pause rescue efforts.
