Rep. Brandon Gill kicked off his Republican Midterm Convention speech with his own version of a "land acknowledgment," declaring Americans are done apologizing for their country. "We live in the greatest country that ever existed." Gill called out the "bizarre land acknowledgments" he says Democrats make at conventions and gatherings, arguing most Americans don't want their elected officials apologizing for the country. "I think most Americans, rightfully so, believe we live in the greatest country that's ever existed... I'm not going to apolologize for it... And certainly most Americans don't want their elected officials apologizing for it either." ▻
