Remembering September 11 ๐ This morning, our officers stood alongside @โLasVegasFD at Station 5 for the annual September 11th Tolling of the Bell Ceremony. This solemn tradition honors the victims of 9/11, and pays tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice that day. The ceremony began at 6:45 a.m., marking the approximate time the South Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. Station 5 holds profound symbols of remembrance: a piece of steel recovered from Ground Zero and a flag that once flew above the World Trade Center. Each year, on this day, that flag is raised in honor of all who were lost.
