The Bell 206 bounces on impact before becoming airborne again, spinning to the right and slamming back into the ground. The tailboom and main rotor system separate during the crash, and both people on board suffer minor injuries. The NTSB says the instructor lost control while reaching across the cockpit to adjust the engine governor during the hover.
