Erika Kirk and the family have filed a notice of claim against Utah Valley University, the state of Utah, and officials, alleging security failures contributed to Kirk’s assassination. According to the filing, TPUSA asked campus police to control rooftop access or allow Kirk’s own security team to cover it. TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet is putting the responsibility squarely on school officials: “This is their home. This is their home. They’re supposed to know how to control and protect people in their home.” UVU is now responding: “We are aware of the notice of claim.
