New details are coming out about the illegal immigrant who pleaded guilty to running a multi-million-dollar Ponzi scheme that prosecutors say victimized Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Federal prosecutors say Siddharth Jawahar raised more than $35 million through an investment fund launched in 2016, but only about $10 million was ever invested into a single company before its stock tanked. Instead of telling investors, prosecutors say he recruited new investors to pay off older ones while spending much of the money on private jets, luxury hotels, private club memberships, fine dining, and designer clothing.
