EXCLUSIVE: Nolan Wells’ friends are breaking down the play-by-play timeline of the final hours before he went missing. Around 4:30 p.m., one of the three boats starts taking on water. His friends scramble to pump it out, but the batteries are underwater and the boat shuts down. As everyone prepares to leave, they say Nolan is urged to get on another boat, but he chooses to stay behind with a girl after saying he has a ride back. Hours later, his friends realize no one has heard from him. By around 11 p.m., Warren Hudson calls Nolan’s mother and then the Coast Guard. Nearly 48 hours later, they get the devastating news that Nolan’s body has been found.
