A 71-year-old cyclist died after colliding with an off-leash dog on Central Park’s East Drive near 84th Street around 8:20 a.m. Monday, police said. He fell from his bicycle, suffered head and body injuries, and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, where he died. The dog was uninjured, and its owner remained at the scene. The cyclist’s name is being withheld pending family notification. Dogs are permitted off-leash in designated park areas before 9 a.m., but must remain leashed on park drives. VIA: @​StreetsblogNYC
