U.S. Central Command said its forces redirected a 130th commercial vessel on Oct. 5 while enforcing the naval blockade against Iran. Since the blockade resumed July 14, American forces have also disabled three ships that refused to comply and destroyed 13 commercial vessels violating the blockade or linked to the IRGC’s multibillion-dollar shadow network. CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper warned that U.S. forces will act swiftly against vessels attempting to breach the blockade. Mariners near the Gulf of Oman and Strait of Hormuz were advised to monitor maritime notices and contact U.S. naval forces on channel 16.
