Y’all, look at this. Brandon was out on a lake in South Louisiana, in a bit of a hurry, when he spotted something you just don’t see every day: a bald eagle swimming. Not flying. Swimming. Brandon slowed down and stayed with him to make sure he reached the bank safely, because, well, this is Louisiana and there are gators in that water. 🐊 When people asked if the eagle was hurt, Brandon said he hung around a while after he stopped filming. No injuries, nothing concerning. His best guess is the eagle dove after something, got soaked, and couldn’t lift off. Brandon kept his distance, watched him dry off, and let nature do its thing. Here’s something I didn’t know: eagles really can swim. They use their wings almost like oars to row themselves to shore. It’s exhausting work, so I’m glad someone was there to keep an eye out. Brandon told me it was “a privilege” to witness. I’d say he was in the right place at the right time, and we were too, to get to see it. Thank you, Brandon, for letting me share this. 🦅 🎥: Brandon Medice #BaldEagle #SouthLouisiana #Louisiana #Wildlife ▻
