ATF has joined the interagency Trade Fraud Task Force to crack down on illicit vape and tobacco trafficking. The Task Force is a partnership with DOJ and Homeland Security Investigations to stop illegal, mis-declared, and smuggled goods from entering U.S. commerce and fueling organized crime. Under the PACT Act, ATF has authority to investigate these products as they move into American communities. With unauthorized vape products now making up a majority of U.S. e‑cigarette sales, ATF’s role in the Task Force is a major step toward getting these dangerous, unregulated products off our streets.
