Hurricane #Isaias is expected to make landfall on the Central Gulf Coast later today, bringing a threat of heavy rainfall and flash flooding to the region. Numerous instances of flash flooding are likely, some of which will be significant. Rainfall of 4-8" across southern Alabama, the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend, and southwest Georgia. Localized totals up to 15" are possible, particularly within banding across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend. Across much of the remainder of the Southeast, rainfall of 2-5 inches are expected. Localized higher amounts up to 10" are possible, especially across the Southern Appalachians and coastal Carolinas.
